Little River Grill in Christiansburg

Nice pics if ribs and good reviews made me to take the detour to come try it. No ribs or bbq just a basic offering of diner style sandwiches. They might be great but I did not stay to try. If the first thing comes on when looking on google are reviews about ribs and pictures of ribs, better have some ribs.

My boyfriend took me for the first time yesterday the cheese burger was delicious awesome if I didn't live in Memphis tennessee I would eat there everyday we're truck drivers will be back very soon next time going try the chicken an coligreens

The pork BBQ sandwiches were the stuff of dreams. So flavorful and rich, highly recommend having them with coleslaw. The onions rings were a little bready and soggy but otherwise, worth the stop

I had the unexpected delight of having vegan (as far as I know) hash browns here in the middle of the night on my way back home to Jackson, Mississippi.And the service was super friendly. 🙂I look forward to returning here the next time I drive to Washington, DC.

I travel up-and-down 81 just about every week this is the only restaurant that I like. Best food ever Philly cheese steak is always on point Workers are always extremely nice and always a place to park!

People there are very nice, great service, it’s clean and i love their bacon egg and cheez sandwich lol. Definitly best 18 weelers stop around.

Diamond in the rough here-not many other food options near by on 81 but food was excellent! Fresh rolls, made to order, good hot food. Fairly fast service. Will stop back if ever in the area again

Great place while traveling 81. Always stop there for BLT’s for breakfast when we hit the road. Basically a grill inside a gas station, but don’t let that stop you! Good food, good value! Always busy cause it’s good!

I ordered the philly cheese steak but I haven't started eating it yet so I don't know if its good or not yet but before I could even order the girl with short spiky hair and rainbow color tattoo informed me that they have a tip jar and that they accept donations. I paid for my order at the register and brought her back my receipt and I put a dollar bill and a handful of change in the jar and she didn't say thank you or anything, as if it wasn't enough for a to go order. I am usually a big tipper but I don't like being asked for one or feeling like I was put on the spot for a tip for a to go order. Once again I'm a Good tipper and I believe in leaving tips but don't appreciate being asked for one. And I know that I technically wasn't asked for one but it was pointed out to me which was pretty close the Same thing.

Just a heads up guys... not 24 hrs... guess because if the pandemic... they open up at 5 a.m....

For $5, I would get this all day. Bacon, ham, onions, tomatoes, green pepper, jalapenos. The cook was getting after it this morning, thank you Sir!

Stopped in tonight for my 30 minute break. Had the Philly and it did not disappoint. The store is well stocked and staff were great. I'm glad I read the reviews and stopped. This is going to have to be a regular stop for me from now on. Great job, keep it up.

Late Sunday night, looking for someplace to eat on the I-81 corridor...stumbled on to the Little River Grill. Great service and yummy pulled pork. So nice it’s open 24 hours!

Food was good, but nobody was wearing masks. I won't go there again.

Friendly staff, tasty and affordable food. Their French toast is AMAZING.

We are out of Dallas, Tx. We stop here every chance we get. Always great food. But today the spaghetti & brisket casserole were both gross. I was totally discussed when I bit into a piece of fat in my spaghetti. That was not ground beef. Geesh. Stop experimenting, stick with the normal. Disappointed & still hungry. 😫

This place is amazing. Their buffalo chicken sandwich, philly cheese steak omelet, biscuitsand gravy breakfast, chili, and super grilled cheese were all delicious and come highly recommended!

Thank You Little River Grill ! This small hole in the wall truck stop, gas station and grill is doing a GREAT job !! I had the pulled pork sandwich. I cannot say anything to make an improvement on it. Excellent pork , homemade delicious sauce. A perfect size sandwich. Fries were hot and crisp, just the way I like them. Thank You Heather, for your happy, polite attitude ! And to Granny for the preacher cookie explanation. Old style business done just right.....

Me and my wife stopped in and were very impressed with the food. Ribs fall off the bone and wife said the philly was incredible. AND cant say enough about the bacon cheese fries!!

Food was good. The store could use a good through cleaning. Other than that great place.

What a happy accidental lunch we had here today. The food was on point and the staff was friendly. I got it marked on my map to stop here whenever we come back through. Only complaint is that you gave me too much food and now my kids will be eating French fries for the next 200 miles in the car! Good job Little River Grill!

They have great food

Little River Grill is my favorite stop for BBQ and bacon cheese fries! The barbecue sauce is delicious and the staff know how to do bacon cheese fries the right way by covering them in cheese and bacon!! I recommend this gem to friends and coworkers. I've been several times and will continue doing business here. Thanks!!

The food is decent but everytime I've ordered it takes well over 30 mins to order today I decided I'll never order anything else I got a refund after waiting 33 mins for them to make a chicken sandwich the kitchen is dirty and you've got 5 people just wandering around the kitchen it's a joke I'm severely disappointed.

Just stopped at truck stop Sunoco gas station to take a break. An surprised to find this Little River Grill inside. Ordered a pulled pork sandwich. Was very good I will definitely stop by again if I'm around this way.

Stumbled upon this by accident and I have no regrets. Food was delicious I had the buffalo chicken wrap. My boss had the pulled pork sandwich and rodeo burger. He drooled as he slammed them both down. Fries were perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of crisp to them. Definitely will stop here again on my travels up and down 81 Oh and the person running the kitchen by herself was beyond pleasant

I couldn't tell where the grease ended and the sauce began in the grilled Mediterranean wrap and the fried pickles were nasty. I've been here before and the food has been good but not this time. I'm not sure I'll stop again.

Great food and fresh. Stopped here as a trucker because I was out of hours. The only reason not 5 stars was the music in the kitchen was a little loud. Other than that it was great food. Will stop again if in area.Went back again to this great place. Food was very hot and good. Changing to 5 stars. Excellent service.

You may not expect it, but this place is a gem. The talented and friendly kitchen staff develop many of their own recipes, so make sure you ask about their specials. Their smoked bbq, smoked ribs, and baked spaghetti are three great examples.

Omg i never had a Philly cheese steak sandwich and it was amazing!!!!😍 One thing for sure, when I'm traveling thro Virginia this is my NEW spot

On my list of "no-brainer" decisions. No matter what you get it'll be made with pride. Don't let the nondescript setting deter you from trying out one of best places to have on your list. It's a local hotspot. Staff is almost always pleasant and helpful. They can get busy, sometimes there can be a wait, even if not many people are inside. Many people call ahead order, and I highly suggest this route if you are pressed for time. Must try: Both kinds of cheesesteak, brisket, ribs, burgers.

I went in kinda later than normal. I was debating to have Truck Rations, but read the posts here and decided to give it a try. First time in, I was uncertain what to do, so I winged it. I was mentioned what I needed to do, the cook brought out my meal. The fries were hot, the burger too... I like my food a lil cooler...so I waited, ate the fries. Everything was super good, I was hungry to begin with, just right portion. I'm a truck driver, thought I stay here for the night. Glad I did on this windy night. I'd recommend this to anyone passing along the 81. Open 24 hrs. Exit 109. Sunoco. Thank you, Little River Grill.

Very surprised with this place. Good food and generous portions for good prices. Quality can suffer a bit depending on the cook, but definitely better than many of the other options around. Also very convenient to the interstate and local hospital.

My husband got a country ham biscuit and the biscuit was dry and crumbling.I got the omelet it was fine.

This place has gone DOWN HILL. I grew up near here and have been going here for years. The last time I went two women watched as me and my cousin waited for 5 minutes and just stared at us. Finally she walked over and acted bothered by our presence. No greeting, no acknowledgement. I told my cousin I will just go over to the store part and get something to eat. Later on I told my dad what happened and he said they did the same thing to him, so he finally just left. The manger needs to fire employees that disrespect customers like that. Especially considering the locals that have been eating there for years. Disgraceful.

What can I say about this place it's the BEST food off of interstate 81 in Virginia!! Their breakfast is good and lunch!! Just found out they served ribs on Friday's, gotta taste those one day! When ever I'm passing thru I always stop! Especially for the Burgers 🍔

The food is Nummmm, Nummm, never disapointed and the ladies at the grill make it worth stopping in! Great food and wonderful workers. ONE issue, attention ladies at the front counter. Please take care of customers first! Then discuss your dissatisfaction of your work schedule with you boss not infront of Customers! When customers are not around complain all you wish. But, when a customer comes to the counter that should be priority number 1 not your personal work issues and you never stopped talking amongst yourselves even after I went to the back, grabbed my food and said have a nice night when I walked out. Should have stopped for one moment to respond.

Food is always cooked to order staff is extremely friendly prices are very fair.
